A walk around the President’s Palace, Rashtrapati Bhawan is also something worth doing, like really. Also, we suggest you go and explore Old Delhi too and it’s equally nice to pass through the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi, just to feel that mood, of the old Mughal kingdom. Later, by late afternoon, it’s customary to take a stroll through the lanes of Chandni Chowk and sample local specialties, like parathas and jalebis.

Qutub Minar
To learn about ancient Delhi, it’s worth going to Qutub Minar, it is placed in Mehrauli. The tower was over 73 m tall and it was built by the first Sultan of Delhi Iltutmish, as a monument for victory. Of interest are the rock edicts carved on the walls of Qutub Minar, which represent ancient Indian calligraphy. In the park where the minaret is located, it is possible to see an ancient Iron Pillar several centuries old.
Lotus Temple
The next stop in your tour can be the Lotus Temple in Kalkaji. The temple takes the form of a lotus flower, so it is easy to get its name. There’s no ritual here, no crowd noise — just twenty-seven marble petals and a hush that settles over everyone who walks in, regardless of faith.

Akshardham Temple
On the eastern bank of the Yamuna, Akshardham is a newer addition but no less impressive — intricately carved pink sandstone and white marble spread across acres, with an evening light-and-sound show that’s genuinely worth planning your day around.
Kalkaji Temple
Finally, you can go back to Delhi through Kalkaji to visit the ancient Kalkaji Temple. Devotees come to the temple and offer their services to the Mother Goddess Kali in it.
